90th American Legion Annual Convention PDF Print E-mail

The 90th American Legion Annual Convention was conducted in Phoenix, Arizona from August 21 to August 28th, 2008.

The annual National Convention is the governing body of The American Legion. Each of The American Legion's 55 departments (one in each state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, France, Mexico and the Philippines) is entitled to a minimum of five delegates to the National Convention, plus one delegate for each 1,000 members or major fraction thereof, as of 30 days before the convention. The National Commander, members of the National Executive Committee, all living Past National Commanders, and the five National Vice Commanders are also delegates to the National Convention.

February 20, 2009. With a backdrop of American Flags by American Legion Riders, Travis Strong and Thomas Graham received their iBOTs and American Legion memberships after the completion of their iBOT training at Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado




These were the second and third iBOTs presented to Colorado veterans and two of the last five to be provided under the current program. Efforts have begun by supporters of this program to gain the reinitiating of iBOT production.
